Thermal Hazards and Electric Hazards Posed By Toys
Parents should make sure that they check the Canadian Standards Association label on the toys before purchasing them. The label is supposed to indicate that the toy has been tested for electrocution, burn, shock and fire hazards. The child must be older than 8 years, so that they are mature enough to understand that dangers of electric toys. Do not purchase toys that spark. Toys using heat source must not be given to children below 8 years old.
